Today is February 25, 2025, and we’re gathering for our second Accessibility Book Club Meeting of the year! We’re thrilled to be having a candid conversation with author Stacey Swinehart Ganderson about her book, WCAG for Designers: Accessibility Reference Manual.

I’ve personally prepared a few questions for Stacey, and I’m excited to participate and see all my favorite book club members’ faces. I know we’re competing today with Axe-Con, but keep in mind—those sessions are recorded, and our discussion is happening live!

About WCAG for Designers: Accessibility Reference Manual

This book is an invaluable resource for designers looking to create accessible digital experiences. It breaks down Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) into practical, designer-friendly concepts, making accessibility easier to implement from the start. Topics covered include:

  • Common accessibility mistakes in design and how to avoid them
  • Practical strategies for color contrast, typography, and interactive elements
  • Real-world examples and solutions for inclusive design
